Barnes & Noble to have “The Biggest Giver” Event

In a joint effort to help the local community, businesses and customers will come together at Barnes & Noble for the Myrtle Beach version of The Biggest Giver. Join this exciting event full of yuletide cheer!

Families are invited for a chance to experience the joy of giving. Children will be able to enjoy coloring Christmas cards for local hospital patients, and listening to Christmas Storytimes. They will also be able to select their favorite book to donate to a community child in need, adding a personal message inside if wanted. Individuals and companies will be able to purchase a gift card to donate to First Book or Head Start; all donation purchases are eligible tax write-offs.

Entertainment will include popular musician Javier Vega playing Holiday Jazz from 11:00am-1:00pm. Also famed Myrtle Beach star Gabbie Rae will be performing a Hannah Montana Tribute show at 2:00pm. In addition, the South Carolina Pirates will be appearing to meet fans and sign autographs!

Barnes & Noble Starbucks Café will have cookies available for donation to local fire and police stations. The Red Cross Rescue Racers will be offering complimentary gift-wrapping while accepting any contribution to their efforts.

Join us Saturday for a true contest… becoming The Biggest Giver.

Customers and businesses may contact Community Relations Manager Jaimy Beecher (843-238-2948) to find out how to participate in the Holiday Book Drive and The Biggest Giver Event
